Glaucoma can be halted by lowering pressure by drugs, LASER or Surgery.

Age related macular degeneration is vision threatening problem of macula ( most sensitive part of retina) to control bleeding in wet ARMD, ANTI VEGF ( bevacizumab, Ranibizumab) injections are given to preserve vision in old age.
It depends on age, daily needs of patient, associated body conditions like diabetes, type of cataract, retinal status, and economical condition of patient . It is mutually decided by doctor and patient after proper discussion.
Diabetes affects eyes specially if it is very high sugar, more than 5 years old and associated with hypertension, thyroid, cardiac or kidney problem. patients can have fluctuating vision with frequent change of glass, dry eyes, cataract, glaucoma and most dangerous is diabetic retinopathy.
Retinopathy is because of leaky retinal vessels, causing bleeding and swelling in retina, which causes permanent vision loss if not detected and treated in time. Therefore routine yearly retina checkup is needed for all diabetic patients irrespective of visual symptoms.

Glasses number is depends upon length of eyeball, children in growth period usually have increase in minus spherical number ( Myopia) till 18- 25 years.
